This time of the year, everyone is setting new goals for themselves and trying to figure out the next best steps to having their best life. Some are trying to consume less sugar or non-healthy foods. Some want to limit their involvement in things that contribute to stress instead of fulfillment. And, there is always the cutback of being around people who don't inspire you to be better.
We can find so many things to cut out of our lives or at least do less of. Of course, there would be benefits to that, from unhealthy foods, too much social media, indulgences that don't serve you and spending time with the wrong people. But, what if instead of trying to cut things out of your life and find something to do less of, we looked for things we could do more of?
How would it benefit your life to replace cutting back and illuminating things that don't serve us well, instead focusing on what we can bring into our lives? To do more things that make our lives better, fuller, and more beautiful in every way.
Here are my suggestions;
- Smile more - you will always brighten someone's day.
- Hug more - the benefits go both ways.
- Give more - there is no greater reward.
- Love more - your heart will overflow.
- Enjoy more - this will complete you.
The most important thing to remember in living your best and most beautifuLIFE is to understand the importance of having balance, which consists of a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Trying to eliminate things ultimately might not serve you as well as bringing on more things that make you better than you could have imagined.
My affirmation for you this week is;
"I am doing more of what makes me better than less of what never mattered anyway."
