We have all heard that phrase before but it is not so easy to do. It seems that we are always finding ways to complicate things just a bit more than what they should be. Why can’t we just make an effort to look at things in a much more simple way to keep life easy and beautiful? What if we looked at things more like a child would or better yet, how we would teach a child. This reminds me of what Robert Fulghum once wrote to explain just how simple this could be. It went something like this; “All I really need to know...I learned in Kindergarten”
Share everything. Play fair. Don’t hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don’t take things that are not yours. Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before your eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work everyday some. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic hold hands and stick together.
There are many more things that we teach our kids today but you get the point. It’s about keeping it so simple that a child can understand and in reality that is how life should be right? As you know I am a big believer in affirmations and how they can keep you focused, balanced, healthy, prosperous, strong and beautiful. I recommend doing affirmations everyday and affirming to yourself how fabulous you are, but some of you are thinking - how do I start and what do I say? My reply is this...keep it simple. Find the words that will motivate you in whatever situation you are in or going through at the moment. Here is a list of easy, simple affirmations that you could use every single day and the simplicity of these is what is so powerful when you say them to yourself.
- I am happy
- I am prosperous
- I am healthy
- I am stress free
- I am loved
- I am strong
- I am wise
- I am beautiful
Take the words that you need to hear and the direction in your life that you need to take and say them to encourage yourself to go there in your mind and in your body. You will begin to see and feel the difference these words will make in your life. If you make an effort to getting back to simplicity and really trying to look at things differently I am confident that you will be living a more balanced and beautifulife and will be able to find your happiness everyday!
