Mind Over Matter

If you believe something to be true, it probably will be, you should be careful where you let your mind go and protect your every thought along the way.

Let’s bring this down to reality in your everyday life.  There are circumstances that we come across daily that can change the way we or someone else thinks or feels at pretty much every glance.

Here is one example; You walk by someone, and you are pretty much the only other person they are walking by, whether it be on a path or in a building.  This person completely ignores you while you are shooting off a great big smile and ready to say hello or good day! What do you do in this case, do you take it personally, or do you continue on your way and feel good about your actions?

Another example is:  You feel tired or worn down on the verge of feeling sick, and you know you have so many things to get done and accomplish.  Do you give in to your body, or do you overcome by believing you are well, saying you are well, and pushing through until you can make it happen that day?

One more example is; You feel consistent bad energy from someone, but you are forced to run into this person regularly either through work or social events.  Do you run away the second you see them, or do you greet them with a smile on your face and extend kindness and a sincere greeting?

There are several more examples of instances we deal with regularly that are not warm, fuzzy, and comfortable.  I want you to understand that we have the power to control how we deal with these circumstances. You see, our minds are far more powerful than our bodies or actions.  We can control the outcome of situations, and we can continue to make them positive, which in the end, will be better for you and for all those around you.

We have no idea what is going on in someone else's world, and it is not our responsibility to know or control that.  We do, however, have complete control over our world, our mind, and our actions. Regardless of how much you do not feel like cracking that smile, extending those kind words, or reaching out to someone who clearly does not care about you at the moment, just do it.  I promise if you practice this, you will see an amazing difference in how you feel and how others react to you.

Remember that the body achieves what the mind believes, and you need to rule your mind or it will rule you.  These lessons are essential to living your most balanced and beautifulife now and for years to come.

My affirmation for you this week is;

"I acknowledge the power of my mind, and will act or react in the best way possible in order to have the most beautiful outcome.”
